celestial eye goldfish


Description:
The Celestial is a relatively small variety of goldfish that has a torpedo-shaped body similar to the Bubble Eye.It is the most different type of Gold Fish.In the young age the eyes are normal,
but as they start growing,the eyes begin to protrude out and then develops a upturned vision and becomes locked.They are active and agile swimmers eventhough they are visually impared.They can live upto 15 years.

History:
The Country of origin is China and Korea where the Original version of fish is still breed and exported.But Japan now beacame the leading exporters of this fish after it came from China in 1900's.

Varieties:
The Celestial are most commonly seen with metallic scales colored various shades of orange , white, or red and white.However a more expansive color range can be found among these hybrids.

Food:
They are omnivorus fishes .They feed brine shrimp,blood worms, Daphnia, or tubifex worms and proetein Mixtures.

Conditions for Celestial ponds:
Temp :65 - 72° F (18°- 22° C)
Hardness : 5 - 19° dGH
Ph : 6.0 to 8.0

Neighbours:
The fish is visually Handicapped so we cannot keep fishes of fast eating type.The ideal neighbours are Telescope Goldfish, Bubble Eye Gold fish and the Lionhead Goldfish which are slow feeders like the Celestials.
